Did some research. Rock sugar is a norm in Indian cooking and consumption. It can be had at any Indian or Asian grocery. Thing is it wasn't "raw". What I found was processed, bleached, stuff with no label. But... it was $1.49 for a pound and tastes very similar. I've found brown sugar to give a great flavor and you don't need as much as rock sugar to get more sweetness.

Good info on agave syrup sweetner, german rock sugar love it in rasberry tea. Normally drink herb teas plain. How do we find a "good fair price" on rock sugar? And,
a good price on "truly enameled" cast iron tea set. i.e., Better price than Teavanna

Just drank my first cup of tea from teavana. I've been a coffee drinker for many years, not obsessive, half to a whole cup per day, very strong. If I miss a day or two it doesn't matter. Last winter I spent some time in Beijing and witnessed their love of tea. It's a complex love affair and involves taste, health, memory, energy, history, comfort, sleep, and psyche. I wanted something more than the seemingly simplistic cup of Joe.

I bought a morning and an evening tea. I eat and drink mostly organic products, and rarely anything with more than one ingredient. I sweetened my evening tea with some German rock sugar and had no difficulty dissolving it. It appears to be less processed than other sweeteners, but I'll research that further. The tea was delicious and I have to admit I feel relaxed. Tomorrow morning we'll see how the morning tea rivals the coffee bean.

Thanks for the video!
